I’ve lived in the neighborhood literally forever and I don’t know what I’d do without this place. They’ve come to my rescue more times than I’d like to admit; the place is such a neighborhood staple. One guy in particular, Rick, is the rock of this spot, and I always try to go when he’s there because I know I’ll get a big smile from him - and if I’m in a hurry I’ll be in and out as quick as possible. Side note - he never mocks me for the many, many, many Amazon and Banana Republic returns I always seem to have. He’s like the UPS Polk St therapist. He knows everyone’s name, everyone loves him, he has dog treats on hand for all of the many pups that come through, he gets things done quickly because he knows we’re all in a hurry, and is always sure to give you a big smile and make you feel welcome. Basically, if you live in the neighborhood you’re in good hands at this spot.

Ricky at the UPS Store on Polk Street was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was great to see how he interacted with regular customers — you can tell he genuinely cares and takes pride in helping people. The whole experience was pleasant, efficient, and professional. Customer service like this really stands out.

I specifically chose this location to drop off some packages because of a lovely review on NextDoor saying that Ricky is "one of the nicest, most caring, and positive people" the poster has met. Before I even walked in, it was clear that Ricky was there. He greeted me outside the door, walked me in, and helped me right away. He was wildly positive, fun, and funny. He seemed high on life itself, and I found it very inspiring. Oh, and he also helped me print a label. I'll be going back for another dose of Ricky!

Rick is truly such a joy of a human. I used this location twice in one day, once to print documents I needed for the nearby embassy, and again later in the day when I needed to mail the documents to Vietnam. Rick was an immense help and had a great energy and personality. He was bubbly and friendly with everyone in the store no matter if there was 1 customer or 15. Thanks for your help, Rick!

rick knows not only how to help and solve every shipping problem, but also how to put a smile on my face. The delivery people are also very nice when dropping things off and if they see you they carry it all the way up to your house! Thank you Polk UPS!!
