A family member of mine went to this location to get some shopping done and a money order the family member does have mobility issues they did have mobility scooters but evidently take a key my family member asked the security officer if he could go and retrieve a key for the scooter and was told not my job my family member went to the customer service counter and was met by a very rude younger man which the younger man at the counter demanded to see my family members ID my family member asked why he said he needed to see their ID in order to give them the key for the scooter my family member was puzzled but complied then the gentleman said oh I need to hang on to that until you get your shopping done your ID or credit card so we can make sure you don't take our scooter my family member Said no by giving you my ID to hang on to you or my credit card I don't feel safe with that can you please call the manager the manager said that is our policy don't care if you feeling your personal information or credit card with us but that's the only way you're getting the key my family member asked for the number of corporate because they wanted to find out if that was corporate policy or not and also told the manager at other locations there's no need to leave ID at customer service this manager said go ahead call corporate I don't care because I'm leaving in 4 days anyways to say the least we will not be going back to the store I understand that they may have a the problem with shoplifting and other problems with that store being the area is located in but I also understand and would think if a individual with disabilities ask for use of the scooter they would let them do it it was obvious the best person my family member had a vehicle in the parking lot I was not going to take your scooter the family member even showed them the keys to the vehicle to say the least we did call corporate and we'll call back in the morning because it was almost 5:00 almost 5:00 when we called ain't got no answer so we will call back tomorrow I just did not like the manager also saying I don't care if you feel unsafe and I'm leaving in 4 days anyways is this how Fry's deals with senior citizens and or people with disabilities I typically don't complain but please do better maybe they were just having an off day though I will give them that and I'll also give them that they're not in the best part of town everybody is entitled to a bad day even managers and counter help

This is my closet Frys grocery store. I have been shopping here for 10 plus years. I have seen ups and downs at this Frys. No fault to the associates as they bust their butt's to take care of customers, but management will wait until the line of customers are going down the aisle to open another register. They are always under staffed. I have seen 2 or 3 managers in the store that wait until clients are seriously frustrated and pissed to come out of the office and open another register. Definitely a downhill slide over the last 2 or 3 years.

Since memorial Day was coming up the city of Mesa was celebrating its veterans by posting banners with pictures of individual veterans on the light post up and down main from about country club all the way to Mesa drive. My father-in-law was brought forward by my wife and accepted as one of the veterans of the year. And sweet and Macy's always a good time too bad it was a little too early cuz most of everything was closed
